Is the Amityville house haunted?  Pat and Rebecca explore one of the most famous ghost stories of all time – the Amityville Horror. The Lutz family fled the house on Ocean Avenue after only 28 days. They claim the same spirit that caused the oldest son of the previous occupants to kill his whole family was also attacking George. After the book and movie, The Amityville Horror came out, the debate was set. Were they telling the truth?

Pat tells the history of the Amityville horror. He reviews the DeFeo murders and subsequent murder trial. Afterwards, Pat describes the claims made by Richard DeFeo’s defense attorney that he and the Lutzes worked together to make up the story of the haunting. He also talks about some of the claims the Lutzes made.

The Debate

Rebecca has five stories to debate. What does the priest say happened to him? What do the children claim really happened? The ratings for this one might surprise you.
